UNFOLDING THE SUBJECT MATTER

The scientific community is continuously striving to improve the process of detecting MS progression more effectively and efficiently to better support clinical decision making.

In this 90-minute symposium presented by experts from ParadigMS, Prof. Thomas Berger will talk about immunological players in the pathogenesis of MS.  He will be followed by Prof. Celia Oreja-Guevara, who will present an update on neuroimaging techniques to detect activity and progression in MS, along with a discussion of the role of novel markers for chronic active inflammation (paramagnetic rim lesions (PRLs), slowly expanding lesions (SELs)). Prof. Tjalf Ziemssen will provide an overview of novel examination techniques to uncover disability accumulation in MS.

WHAT ARE THE KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS SYMPOSIUM?

By attending this symposium you will learn more about:

  • The role of the BTK pathway and how BTK inhibition can suppress key pathological features of multiple sclerosis.
  • How PRLs and SELs are markers of progression and how neuroimaging techniques are being used to detect them.
  • Novel examination techniques that are being developed to uncover disability accumulation.

TARGET AUDIENCE

  • Specialists
  • Neurologists
  • Practitioners
  • Researchers in the field of MS

REGISTRATION

Registration is complimentary and can be arranged via the online registration module upon registering for the congress pass.
